Timing, Angles & Sweeping

In three hours, we will attempt to cover 3 BIG topics that should help you improve your game. This session should help all curlers from newbies to veterans. We have a veteran crew to lead these topics: Paul Sofuolis, Mark Wilson, & Jay Flanders.

This session will be mostly on the ice. You should dress accordingly.

• Timing: Please bring a stopwatch.
• Angles: How to determine where to hit and what turn you should use. Drag effect: what is it? How do you use it? Communication.
• Sweeping: Why sweep errors are often the difference between winning and losing. A comprehensive review of sweeping including directional sweeping.

Understanding and learning how to better do these three things will make you a better curler!

The Second Annual Silver and Gold Salute to New Members and Volunteers is being held Saturday January 31!

All members are welcome to sign up for social curling, which runs from 5PM to 7PM. There are 24 spots available for social curling. A cocktail party with complimentary appetizers follows social curling at 7:00.

If you play in the social curling games, you will be automatically registered for the cocktail party.

ALL CLUB MEMBERS ARE INVITED

Our friends from Curl Berkshires in western Massachusetts will be at the Cape Cod Curling Club from 11 am - 1:30 pm on Sunday, February 1, for a No Frills Friendly (no fee, no food, just fun!). 12 Cape curlers will play against 12 Curl Berkshires curlers in one 8-end game.

Teams will be put together the day of the event. Please indicate your preferred position on the registration.

This is a wonderful event for new as well as seasoned curlers - don't be shy. There are bragging rights!

Join us for Cape Cod's Open Doubles Bonspeil!

Our Open Doubles bonspeil is back for 2026!  24 Teams (17 outside teams and 7 Cape teams). Multiple events - 3 game guarantee. Age limit 18+

Entries due by January 4, 2026.

This registration is for teams coming from outside Cape Cod.  If you are a Cap Cod team, use the registration below.

The 2026 Club Championship will run March 6-8. The bonspiel features an exciting "Chili Cook-Off" on Friday night, a delicious dinner on Saturday night, a "championship brunch" on Sunday morning, and bragging rights for the year. 

Entry fee is $120, with a three-draw minimum. The first draw is at 4:00 PM on Friday, and there will be a cap of 16 teams for the event.

Registration will open on Monday, December 8th and close on Friday, January 9th.

The Club Championship is open to all Cape Cod curlers, regardless of playing experience. This is a very popular event, so enter early! Once the cap of 16 teams is reached, any additional teams will be placed on a waiting list. Registrants can enter as a team (max of five on a team), as individuals looking for a team, or as individuals looking to sub in the spiel.
