Put a Kid in a Seat

WE NEED YOUR HELP – “PUT A KID IN A SEAT”

As you are aware, our Club has been sponsoring the Falmouth 4 th Grade Curling Program since 2007, where 4th graders from the four Falmouth Elementary Schools come to our Club to learn about curling. By being part of the Falmouth community, and giving back to the youth of the community, our Club qualifies as an IRS, Section 503(c)(3) charitable organization. To that end, our 4 th Grade Curling Program needs your help.

We have learned that the Falmouth Public Schools will not be funding the transportation of our 4th Grade Curling Program next year. In past years, the Falmouth Road Race, the Falmouth Elementary School PTOs and the Falmouth Education Foundation, have paid for or contributed to the transportation costs. We will continue to solicit their support by making grant requests to these organizations, but nothing is guaranteed. What we would like to do is bolster the School Outreach Fund, to help fund for the 4th Grade Curling Program and its transportation costs.

Over the past few years, we have averaged between 250 to 300 kids in the Program. The current 2026 cost to transport these children is $3,600.00.

Like all of us, we do not want to see this program disappear. In fact, one of our
members was so upset, he stepped forward and said he would be an “anonymous
matching donor”.

To help continue this Program, we are asking you to donate by using the DONATE BUTTON below. We will also accept checks with “4th Grade Curling Program” noted on the memo line.

On behalf of the children we serve, thank you for your donation.
