If you happened to visit the club during April, May, or June, mornings, afternoons, or evenings you would have witnessed a lot of activity in the ice shed, warm room and dining room. This activity was the Video Project Installation Team pulling cables, installing new cameras and monitors, and repurposing a storage closet into the video command center. The goal of the Video Project was to improve the viewing of curling at Cape Cod both at the club and remotely.
The 2024 Summerspiel featured the debut of the new Cape Cod Curling Club Video System. All of the draws were streamed remotely via You Tube, and inside the club the draws could be watched in the dining room, improved views of the houses displayed in the warm room, and new monitors in the ice shed for views of the house at the opposite end from where curlers stand.
Beginning with the Fall 2024 Curling season, all league play will be streamed live and archived for anyone’s viewing pleasure. All your great shots, sweeping, and skip calls will be featured on You Tube, easy to access on your device via the link on our web page, or simply by searching for Cape Cod Curling on You Tube on your TV – Enjoy !
