On Saturday, December 8, 2024, The Cape Cod Curling Club relaunched our Little Rocker Bonspiel. This tournament is for kids ages 12 and under who can throw a full sized stone down the full length of a sheet (Not a small feat when many don't weigh much more than the stone!). Before Covid, Little Rock bonspiels were a much more common event. The circuit in our region kicked off here at Cape Cod in early December, and an event happened at other clubs each month until March. With Covid these spiels all disappeared. We are so excited to see that this year they are coming back.
Thanks to everyone who participated in our annual Thanksgiving Morning Gobble Spiel.Congratulations to this years winners!Richard LousararianCathy OffingerKathleen HarlowBill Snapper
The 13th Tony Colacchio Wheelchair bonspiel at the Cape Cod Curling Club took place from November 7
– 10 with a field of 6 teams from across the country including curlers from: North Carolina, Georgia,
Montana, Tennessee, Colorado, New York and New England. We welcomed back some old friends and
met some new ones.
The 2024 Mac Jones Sticks v Sliders Bonspiel was held this past weekend on November 15-16.
This event dates back to 2008 when Leonard (Mac) Jones proposed an annual bonspiel that
would pit stick curlers against slide curlers at the Cape Cod Curling Club. After Mac passed
away in 2011, the Board of Directors unanimously voted to rename the Sticks vs. Sliders
Bonspiel the “Mac Jones Sticks Vs. Sliders Bonspiel”, and it has become a favorite event for
club members.
Hi All,
In this week’s announcements you may have noticed that the ice crew will flood the ice
after Thanksgiving. The announcements mentioned “issues with the ice” that can only
be solved with a flood.
So, what are those issues?
